Jorge is a Registered Civil Engineer (CIP 66894). He is a Doctor and Master in Geotechnics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and a Civil Engineer from the National University of Engineering in Peru. He has more than 22 years of experience in development and review of civil, port, airport, mining and energy projects, emphasizing in mining projects the design of tailings dams, leaching pads, mine waste dump, foundations for mining facilities, including storage tanks and crushers, in addition to preparing mine closure plans. He has done work in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil. He also performs academic work as a postgraduate and undergraduate teacher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the National University of Engineering (UNI) and at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).
