Cristián is a Civil Engineer in Civil Works graduated from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH). He served as general manager of Vector Chile and Ausenco and has more than 22 years of experience in mining projects, located in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Nigeria, Indonesia and Russia. He has participated in the design of most of the heap leach pads in Chile, counting to date with more than 130 high and low grade mineral leaching projects globally. Experience that has been developed mainly in the areas of civil and geotechnical design, construction, inspection and quality assurance for copper, gold, nickel, uranium and rare earth projects. Additionally, he has extensive experience in determining the appropriate mechanized equipment for dynamic type piles, which has allowed him to lead several innovation projects. With a strong orientation to his clients and trying to optimize projects both from the point of view of costs and operational simplicity, Cristián has worked mainly for large and medium mining clients such as BHPB, Glencore, Anglo American, AMSA and Codelco among several others.
