Raura

Client: Compañía Minera Raura S.A.

Huánuco, Perú

Raura is a polymetallic underground mine located in the province of Huánuco, Peru, at a high altitude of approximately 4,700 meters above sea level. This mining operation is distinguished by producing multiple metals: lead, zinc, copper, and silver. It has an installed processing capacity of 2,000 tons per day, although its actual production is around 1,600 tons per day.

In this context, a series of specialized services and studies were developed, aimed at ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the operation, as detailed below:

  • Comprehensive geotechnical studies: Evaluation of physical stability, slope analysis, waste rock dumps, and tailings storage facilities, including field investigations, drilling, instrumentation, and specialized laboratory testing.
  • Advanced geophysical services: Execution of geo-electrical and geophysical studies applied to deposits, plants, and critical infrastructure for subsurface characterization and decision-making support.
  • Engineering design and detail: Development of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for tailings storage facilities, waste dumps, raises, hydraulic systems, slope stabilization, and associated works.
  • Feasibility and trade-off studies: Technical-economic evaluation of alternatives for tailings disposal, raises, and mining infrastructure solutions.
  • Specialized technical support: Continuous assistance in operations, mine closure, construction closure, water management, and system optimization in mining facilities.
  • Supervision, CQA, and construction management: Supervision of works, quality assurance and quality control (QA/CQA), construction management, and technical support across all project stages.
  • Geotechnical monitoring and record engineering: Implementation, monitoring, and analysis of geotechnical instrumentation for the control of critical components and regulatory compliance.
  • Documentation and permitting management: Preparation of technical dossiers, SOW, specialized reports, concession modifications, and support in regulatory permitting.
