Antapaccay is located in southern Peru, in the Cusco region, province of Espinar, at a high elevation of 4,100 meters above sea level. It operates a modern sulfide plant dedicated to the production of copper concentrates. The operation began in November 2012, becoming a key mining hub in the region.
In this context, a series of specialized services and studies were developed, aimed at ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the operation, as detailed below:
- Development and updating of geotechnical studies for mining operations, including field support, stability analysis, and evaluation of foundation conditions.
- Preparation and updating of engineering for tailings dams, covering conceptual, basic, and detailed stages, including lining systems, dam raising, and tailings disposal.
- Seismic hazard assessment and dynamic analysis for critical infrastructure, considering regulatory criteria and site-specific conditions.
- Geotechnical studies applied to mining infrastructure such as thickeners, conveyor belts, crushers, and platforms, ensuring their performance and stability.
- Application of geophysical studies for subsurface characterization and seismic response analysis in key operational components.
- Monitoring, instrumentation, and geotechnical control of structures, including evaluation of deformations and operational behavior.
- Assessment of waste materials and geomechanical conditions for their use in construction, as well as stability analysis of waste dumps and open pits.
- Comprehensive consulting services including drilling campaigns, engineering updates, response to technical queries (RFIs), and support during construction stages.
