Waldo Huallanca is a civil engineer who graduated from the National University of Engineering, with a master's degree in Geotechnics from the same university, and an MBA with a specialization in Project Management from ESAN University. He has 15 years of experience in mining projects in Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. He has led the development of geotechnical designs for civil and mining works and has planned geotechnical investigations for the design of structures such as earth dams, processing plants, crushers, access roads, tailings storage facilities, waste dumps, heap leach pads, and landfills. His experience also includes conducting field and laboratory tests. Additionally, he has participated in foundation analysis studies, slope stability analysis, seepage analysis, liquefaction potential assessment, development of numerical models, and geosynthetic design. He also has experience in safety reviews of tailings dams following the "Dam Safety Guidelines" of the Canadian Dam Association (CDA).
