Pumping Station

1. Project Overview

The project consists of providing environmental consulting services in the area defined by Oleoductos del Valle (Oldelval) as the East Zone, which covers the provinces of La Pampa and Buenos Aires Province.

The services include:

• Environmental technical advisory services.
• Administrative procedures for registrations and renewals before provincial authorities such as the Ministerio de Ambiente de la Provincia de Buenos Aires and the Subdirección de Ambiente de La Pampa, as well as national authorities such as the Secretaría de Ambiente de la Nación Argentina.
• Site characterization.
• Sampling and preparation of Remediation Plans.
• Assessment of legal environmental requirements.
• Preparation of studies such as Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Monitoring Reports.

Service duration: 2 years (05/28/2024 to 05/28/2026).

2. Project Challenges

• Logistical: Significant distances between Anddes’ operational bases in Mendoza and Neuquén and the work fronts, including areas near Bahía Blanca and Santa Rosa.
• Environmental: Natural conditions of the Salitral de La Vidriera, with the presence of surface and groundwater, which makes field activities such as site surveys and characterization more complex.

3. Our Approach and Solutions

• Establishment of fluid and continuous communication with the client through different communication channels.
• Development of internal group analyses within the Environmental Services team to evaluate suitable technical, economic, and environmental alternatives.
• Coordination with local professionals, mainly associated with GT Ingeniería, to ensure a prompt operational response.

4. Results Achieved

• Renewal of Oleoductos del Valle as a Special Waste Generator in the province of Buenos Aires.
• Renewal of Oleoductos del Valle as a Hazardous Waste Generator in the province of La Pampa.
• Approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the pipeline section change between Estación de Bombeo Algarrobo and Estación de Bombeo El Salitral.
• Technical submissions to the Ministerio de Ambiente de la Provincia de Buenos Aires in response to requests related to affected sites.
