We share the report from our AUDAS App on the magnitude 7 earthquake that occurred on March 18, 2023 at 12:12:52 (local time in Peru and Ecuador) at a depth of 78 km. The epicenter was located in Ecuador, 85 km NE of Zarumilla, Tumbes, 48 ​​km N of Machala and 75 km S of Guayaquil. This seismic report was issued 6 minutes after the event occurred, which demonstrates the effectiveness of AUDAS and that it can be used in mining, hydrocarbon or any other projects to take contingency measures immediately after the earthquake occurred, especially if it is that the accelerations exceed the alert thresholds defined to determine the level of criticality, for example, in tailings dams.
