GA Consultores

Anddes’ acquisition of GA Consultores strengthens our operations in Chile by integrating a team with a proven track record in large-scale mine waste management, project engineering, and geotechnical consulting. This strategic move adds specialized expertise in hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental permitting, and tailings management. By expanding our technical capabilities and enhancing responsiveness, we reinforce our position as a regional benchmark in engineering and sustainable solutions for the mining and industrial sectors.

We develop environmental consulting services focused on the regulatory and sustainable management of mining and municipal waste facilities. Our team supports companies in the preparation of Environmental Impact Declarations (DIA), environmental pertinence analyses, and the processing of sectoral permits before regulatory agencies such as Sernageomin, DGA, and MINSAL, among others. We also prepare closure plans for mining waste facilities, Compliance Programs (PdC) before the Environmental Superintendence, and alternative analyses for particulate matter control in tailings storage facilities. Our approach integrates technical, regulatory, and sector-specific expertise to ensure efficient environmental assessment processes and regulatory compliance at every stage of the project.

We provide construction and operational support services for mining waste facilities and their associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with design criteria, quality standards, and safety requirements during construction and early operational stages. Our services include QA/QC operational control during the construction of starter works and during the operation of tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, leach residue dumps, and waste rock dumps. We also provide Engineer of Record (EoR) services and deploy specialized field personnel for technical supervision of works. These services are complemented by conventional and specialized in situ geotechnical testing, including PANDA penetrometer tests, vane shear tests, permeameter tests, and DPSH tests, among others. Our approach enables on-site verification of material behavior and ensures the proper implementation of engineering designs throughout project development.

We provide specialized tailings management services aimed at strengthening the Tailings Management Systems of mining operations. We support companies in conducting external audits to verify compliance with applicable regulations and in implementing the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM), including GAP Analyses to assess their level of compliance and the evaluation of MAC protocols. We also develop Operation, Maintenance, and Surveillance (OMS) Manuals, Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans, and Long-Term Recovery Plans. These services are complemented by support in Engineer of Record (EoR) documentation, including design basis reports, deviation reports, construction records, and construction verification against design intent. We also develop Trigger Action Response Plans (TARP), contributing to a preventive and structured management of risks associated with tailings storage facilities.

We develop comprehensive engineering and geotechnical solutions for mining and civil infrastructure, supporting our clients in the evaluation, design, and management of critical infrastructure. Our services range from static, seismic, and dynamic stability analyses of dams and tailings storage facilities to the preparation of Dam Break Analyses (DBA), as well as hydrological and hydrogeological studies, including seepage and hydraulic behavior analyses of storage facilities.
We have extensive experience in the identification and analysis of geotechnical pathologies and events, as well as in conducting independent engineering technical reviews (peer reviews). Additionally, we design and supervise geotechnical and hydrogeological characterization campaigns, carry out soil mechanics studies, and support risk evaluation using methodologies such as FMEA and the ALARP principle. These services are complemented by Independent Dam Safety Reviews (DSR), contributing to ensuring high technical, operational, and safety standards at every stage of the project.
