Rocío Uriarte

Rocío is a Civil Engineer graduated from the National University of Engineering (UNI), holding a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering and currently pursuing an MBA at CENTRUM PUCP. Her academic background includes research studies at Chiba University (Japan) and a diploma in Seismology from the University of Chile.

She brings 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, contributing to mining infrastructure projects and leading studies from conceptual design through detailed engineering. Her expertise includes managing geophysical surveys—such as seismic refraction, MASW, and MAM—as well as supervising geotechnical investigations and soil and rock characterization programs.

In addition, she has two years of experience in large-scale mining operations, overseeing geotechnical instrumentation monitoring, conducting field inspections, and developing documentation aligned with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM). She has also led training initiatives for operational teams.
