Luis Rivas

Luis is a Licensed Civil Engineer and graduate of the National University of Engineering (UNI), where he also earned a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering. He brings over 13 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and mine closure planning across Peru and Mexico, with a focus on critical mining infrastructure, including Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), heap leach pads, waste rock dumps, and related mining components.

His professional experience includes serving as Resident Engineer for the supervision of slope stabilization and road construction works, as well as preparing technical design documentation for construction projects.

Luis is currently a key member of a specialized technical team focused on dam safety reviews and serves as Engineer of Record (EoR) for several mining projects, ensuring compliance with international mining standards.
