Jorge is a Registered Civil Engineer (CIP 66894), holding a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a Civil Engineering degree from the National University of Engineering (Peru).
With over 22 years of professional experience, he specializes in the development and review of civil, port, airport, mining, and energy infrastructure projects. In the mining sector, his expertise includes the design of tailings dams, heap leach facilities, mine waste dumps, and foundations for mining infrastructure—such as storage tanks and crushers—as well as the preparation of mine closure plans.
He has worked on projects across Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil. In addition to his professional practice, Jorge serves as a graduate and undergraduate professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the National University of Engineering (UNI) and at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).
