Denys Parra

Denys is a Civil Engineer graduated from the National University of Engineering (UNI) in Lima, Peru, with specialized studies in Japan and a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Brazil. With more than 30 years of experience, he has worked on numerous mining projects across Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Bolivia. He has been involved in the design of heap leach facilities, tailings storage facilities, and mine waste rock dumps. His expertise includes geotechnical investigations and studies for a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, as well as civil design and geotechnical analyses for mining facilities such as heap leach pads, process ponds, waste rock dumps, tailings dams, and water retention dams. Denys currently serves as a professor at the National University of Engineering (UNI), where he teaches the Soil Dynamics course.
