Marcos Diaz Corvalán

Marcos is a Civil Engineer with a focus on Construction and Administration, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Cuyo.

He holds postgraduate degrees in Project Management (PMI-based), Financial Management, and Quality Management.

He has 18 years of experience, having held roles such as Construction Manager, Site Manager, Field Services Manager, Project Director, Project Manager, Resident Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Team Supervisor, and Head of Earthworks Quality on mining projects.

He currently serves as General Manager of Anddes Argentina S.A.

In academia, Marcos has worked for over 15 years at the National University of Cuyo as Head Professor of Practical Works in the Civil Engineering Economics course.

Among the key projects in which he has participated are Pucamarca, Lagunas Norte, Raura, and Shahuindo in Peru; and Lindero, FMC Minera del Altiplano, Pascua Lama, Veladero, Gualcamayo, Pirquitas, San José, Salar de Antofalla, El Quevar, Cerro Negro, Sales de Jujuy, and Cerro Moro in Argentina.

In academia, Marcos has been a faculty member at the National University of Cuyo for over 15 years, serving as Head Professor of Practical Works in the Civil Engineering Economics course. His teaching covers cost estimation and budgeting, earthmoving equipment selection, work certifications, and tendering processes. He also contributes to the Project and Construction Organization course, focusing on schedule management in accordance with PMI standards and the use of MS Project.
