Denys Parra

Denys is a Civil Engineer graduated from the National University of Engineering (UNI) in Lima, Peru, with postgraduate specialization in Japan and a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering obtained in Brazil.

With over 30 years of professional experience, he has participated in numerous mining projects across Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Bolivia.

His experience includes the design of heap leach projects, as well as tailings and waste rock disposal facilities.

He has led geotechnical investigations and studies for a wide range of civil works and has executed civil design and geotechnical analyses for mining facilities, including leach pads, process ponds, waste dumps, tailings dams, and water retention dams.

He currently serves as a professor at UNI, where he teaches the Soil Dynamics course.
